Lin Wilken first joined a local GFWC Woman’s Club in the mid 1980’s during a hiatus between jobs as a Registered Dietitian. She was looking for a place to make new friends and “give something back to the community.” Membership in the club was extended by a fellow Rotary-anne and Lin joined the Celina History Club. |

Lin has served GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs as a local club Secretary, Vice President and President, She served on the district level as District OFWC Fund Raising Chairman in 1994 – 1996 selling Carol Buch’s warm and cuddly Loyal Jonquil jackets. She was WCD District President in 1996 - 1998 and served as GFWC/Ohio Federation Secretary in 1998 - 2000, 2nd Vice President in 2000 - 2002, First Vice President in 2002 – 2004 and was honored to have served as GFWC/Ohio Federation President in 2004 - 2006. Lin currently serves Ohio Federation as the Chairman of the Membership Task Force and the Scholarship Committee Chairman and the WCD Hostess District Committee Chairman. Lin represents Ohio Federation on the 2006 – 2008 Great Lakes Region Board as the Fund Raising Chairman and Nominations Committee Chairman. Lin is also a member of the current GFWC Board of Directors serving on the Credentials Committee. Lin resides in west central Ohio with Paul her husband of 34+ years and has four grown children and one daughter-in-law. A passionate volunteer and a fanatic Buckeye Alumnus, Lin is ready and willing to serve GFWC/Ohio Federation whenever the question is directed her way…will you serve? The answer is yes! I would be honored to serve GFWC/Ohio Federation as Secretary in the 2008 – 2010 Administration. |
