Teen Bullying and Violence Prevention through Education and Support of Local DVA Shelters

Project Ideas:        HIGH-5” Program:  Local clubs collect from each member either $5.00 or 5 items to be donated to a Shelter. The district Domestic Violence Chairman would then collect the items or money and give to a Domestic Violence Center in your district. Clubs will be recognized at the GFWC/Ohio Convention according to levels of participation.

Support:                Contact and offer to partner with your local YWCA, local schools, community centers, and local health departments to help develop education and/or prevention programs on teen bullying and dating violence.

Clubs are encouraged to continue working with the GFWC Resource Organizations from previous administrations, as they have longstanding national relationships with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (not only GFWC/ Ohio relationships).  The GFWC Resource Organizations include, but are not limited to, those listed in the GFWC 2010-2012 Manual.

Please read the Domestic Violence Awareness Program section in the GFW C Club Manual/Disc for complete details on programs, projects and resources.
